The Species Challenge 2026 is a year-long fishing challenge designed to push you beyond your comfort zone, sharpen your skills, and get you exploring new waters.

Rather than chasing numbers, this challenge encourages you to target a wide range of species across both freshwater and saltwater, from coarse fish and predators, to trout, rays, and sea species.

• ✔️ Space to log date, location, bait, weight, and time

• ✔️ Printable species “tickets” to photograph with your catch

• ✔️ A structured 12-month challenge you can tackle at your own pace

This challenge is about learning, adapting, and exploring, forcing you to try new methods, new venues, and new approaches to angling.

You can choose to:

• Complete the freshwater challenge

• Take on the saltwater challenge

• Or go all-in and attempt both

I’ll also be hosting monthly live chats on YouTube for anyone taking part, a place to share progress, swap ideas, and talk fishing with like-minded anglers.

The challenge runs until 31 December 2026.
